Step by Step Reentry Project

Certainly!

The Step-by-Step Reentry Project empowers formerly incarcerated system impacted single women and those with children under nine at risk or experiencing homelessness to rebuild hope, reunite with their families and children, and find a safe place to grow and change. We are also dedicated to raising awareness about the numerous systemic barriers that felony citizens face daily due to poverty, race, arrest, and conviction histories. Support our mission by donating, volunteering, or spreading the word to help transform lives today!

  • Step By Step Ministry Hope Project Inc. is dedicated to bridging the gaps in housing and providing support services and advocacy for nonviolent individuals reentering society after incarceration.

  • Vision Statement:

Angela Hurks, founder of Step By Step Ministry Hope Project Inc., envisions a world where individuals impacted by nonviolent felony convictions can rebuild their lives with dignity. Through the Step By Step Reentry Project, we provide housing, employment pathways, and holistic recovery support to formerly and currently incarcerated individuals committed to positive change.

We strive to eliminate the stigma of a criminal record, ensuring fair access to jobs, housing, and essential resources. Justice restoration includes addressing unjust labor practices in incarceration and equipping returning citizens with tools for a safe transition.

Our mission extends to public education on safety, equity, and reentry challenges while advocating for affordable housing, improved transportation, and economic empowerment. We invite you to stand with us in fostering a community of love, understanding, and opportunity.
