The Step by Step Reentry Project empowers formerly incarcerated homeless individuals and street homeless individuals to rebuild hope, reunite with their families and children, and have a safe place to land. Additionally, we are dedicated to raising awareness of the categories of systemic barriers homeless citizens face everyday… which are many.

Step By Step Hope Project, Inc., exists to holistically help women, men, and children rebuild their lives while working their way out of homelessness. We provide temporary shelter, comprehensive wraparound services, case management, advocacy, workforce and leadership development.

We envision a world where all people living spaceless and past formerly and currently incarcerated women, men, and children of upstate Greenville County are supported and restored to a healthy, self-sustaining life path and have access to an affordable, permanent home.

We have a track record of over 1,300 women achieving emotional and financial stability that empowered them to rejoin their families. At 15 years in operation, over 80% of our clients are in job placements, 40% sober living and 20% of previously homeless women were placed in permanent housing.
Our services are provided at less than 1/3 of a fraction of cost that expenses taxpayers for incarceration.
